Privacy and Security
Built on trust, designed for safety
Your journals, mood tracking, medication tracking, and financial data are personal. We treat them with the protection they deserve.
Your Data, Your Ownership
Every piece of data you create belongs to you. Export your journals, mood tracking history, medication tracking logs, and financial records anytime in standard formats. Delete your account and all data is permanently removed.
Encrypted at Rest and in Transit
Sensitive fields, including journals, mood notes, medication notes, financial records, and support plans, use AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. Data in transit uses TLS.
AI with Clear Boundaries
When you request an AI feature, the context needed for that request may be processed by configured AI providers. Dayhelm limits the purpose to providing the feature and does not use personal content for advertising profiles.
No Data Selling, Ever
Your personal data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build marketing profiles. Our business model is built on subscriptions, not your personal information.
Full Data Export
Download all your data in JSON format at any time. Your journals, mood history, medication logs, and financial records are portable and yours to keep.
Support Tools Stay Accessible
Support-plan and emergency-contact features remain accessible when you need them. They are intended as personal support tools, not medical or emergency services.
Your private workspace stays private
Dayhelm is designed for personal organization, reflection, mood tracking, and medication tracking. Every design decision prioritizes your privacy, autonomy, and peace of mind.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
Dayhelm ("we", "us", "our") operates the Dayhelm mobile application and website (dayhelm.app). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: account details (email, name), journals, mood logs, medication records, financial data, task entries, and settings. If you choose to add local weather, Dayhelm uses a one-time, foreground-only approximate location. Location is optional and is never requested in the background. All sensitive content is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide app functionality: AI insights, cross-domain analysis, notifications, and sync. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.
Approximate Location & Weather
Coordinates are rounded before they are sent through the Dayhelm server to Open-Meteo for current weather and air-quality conditions. The rounded selection and normalized weather are kept in an account-scoped private cache on your device and cleared at sign-out. Dayhelm does not store server-side location history, use background location, or use weather for advertising.
Data Storage & Security
Data is stored using Supabase/AWS infrastructure. Sensitive fields use AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, and data in transit uses TLS. Access is limited to the systems and services required to operate requested features.
Pro Financial Assistance
If you apply for Pro financial assistance, authorized reviewers can read the encrypted reason categories, short explanation, optional country code, and any requested follow-up. Dayhelm does not ask for bank statements, salary slips, diagnoses, medical records, or identity documents. Narrative fields for declined or withdrawn applications are erased after 90 days. Approved application narratives are erased 30 days after the assistance grant ends; minimal decision and audit metadata is retained.
Your Rights
You can export all your data, including a current financial-assistance application, in JSON format at any time from Settings. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently via Settings > Delete Account or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is irreversible and completed within 30 days.
Third-Party Services
We use: Supabase (auth & database), Google Cloud (AI processing), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Sentry (error tracking), Cloudflare (analytics & CDN), Open-Meteo (weather and air-quality data), and BigDataCloud (approximate reverse geocoding for the displayed place name). These services process only the minimum data required for their function.

Important Safety Note
dayhelm is a self-management and reflection tool. It does not use Health Connect, does not provide diagnoses, and is not a medical device or emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services, a crisis helpline, or your nearest emergency room.
